The Artist

Whether we feel it or not, we are all creative beings. Some express that creativity through art, poetry, music, dance, photography, film, the list goes on and on… and some express that creativity with their physical bodies.

As the creator of BodyBuildHer® fitness, I consider myself and my clients, artists. To me, bodybuilding is an art form.

With the stroke of a brush, so too is the pull of a cable. Both require precision with intention. Yes, there may be the days when we go and randomly slap paint on the canvas or hack away at the pile of clay, but over time we become more precise with the paint brush as we do the cable; mind muscle connection with the iron is the way. If we treat the body as an art form, we will perform our exercises with respect as well.

The human body is the canvas or the clay that is transformed to express its optimal potential (bringing the inner strength and beauty outward) through good nutrition, hydration, weight lifting, other forms of bodyweight exercise, and cardio. This is achieved over time through consistency with a focused precision in both diet and the execution of each exercise.

This is not solely about building the body to get on stage and compete, although it may be for some. This is about a life’s work. This is about sculpting your body for the health of it.
